In light of Kesa’s recent sale of Comet, November’s poll for Retail Week looks at consumer’s experiences with the retailer. Results show the competitive market that Comet operates within; seven in 10 consumers would consider Comet, but amongst competitor retailers rather than being the first retailer coming to mind. The brand was rated on customer service, value for money and range of products. Scoring highest of the three measures tested, Comet’s product range is rated positively. Customer service is rated as good by almost half, though there are differences of opinion by demographic group. Value for money was Comet’s weakest arm; described as ‘average’ by four in 10 consumers. To read more on this, and to see how views of Comet vary by age, gender and social grade, please click here.
