One in eight Britons don’t know their neighbours

Research conducted by ICM for the AA shows that one in eight people (13%) living in Britain today do not know any of their neighbours.

ICM surveyed 2,004 people from across Great Britain between 18th – 20th November 2011. The study shows that those who live alone are even less likely to know their neighbours than the general population, with one in six not knowing any of their neighbours.

The research also showed that 74% of people had concerns about their home over winter, with the full breakdown as follows:
