In February ICM interviewed a sample of 2,008 18+ adults in Great Britain to find out their thoughts and experiences regarding driving and eyesight.
Just over a third (36%) of the drivers interviewed said they believe that their fellow road users should have an eyesight test every year. Yet in reality this is very different from the 27% of drivers have not had an eye test with in the last 2 years. This would equate to 8.7 Million drivers. Those going the longest without having an eye test are the youngest demographic with 18-30 year olds only having an eye test on average every 3 years and 5 months. This compares to over 71 year olds who on average take an eye test every 1 year and 4 months.
