Only a third of business traveller book by mobile
ICM Research recently conducted an ad-hoc survey on behalf of Amadeus, interviewing 400 UK adults who work in large companies and travel frequently for business, and whose company has a corporate travel policy.
Interestingly, only a third (33%) of all business travellers in UK are currently able to book their trip via mobile or tablet device.
The research also revealed that about half (51%) of business travelers had to make changes to their travels plans in 2012 and over a third (37%) had to amend their flights whilst travelling.
Convenience has been listed as the top priority whilst travelling (62%), followed by criteria such as cost (22%) and comfort (15%). Furthermore, some 32% of the surveyed business travelers would like to have the opportunity to extend their trip to include self-funded leisure travel.
Nearly half (47%) do not have a clear opinion whether their corporate travel policy helps or hinders their ability to do business. However, 15% of travelers are convinced that corporate travel department hinders the business.
