ICM conducted research on behalf of the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) in July 2011 which showed that just over half (52 per cent) of drivers aged 40 plus do not know that "glaucoma mainly affects peripheral vision" and three in ten (30 per cent) are failing to take an eye test every two years. ICM interviewed a random online sample of 2,009 adults of whom 1,037 adults were drivers aged 40+ who between 13th -14th July 2011.
