ICM has been working with Friends Provident International (FPI) since the inception of their Investor Confidence Index, which measures sentiment of investors in Hong Kong, UAE and Singapore, including their attitudes towards a range of asset classes. ICM works closely with FPI to design the questions, conduct the fieldwork, deliver the results and draft the results for publication.
FPI has just published its report for the seventh wave of the Index – it can be viewed here
The latest report shows a continued decrease in confidence across all three markets, with investors expressing a desire to move away from perceived “high risk” asset classes such as equities in favour of “low risk” assets such as gold and cash.
With each wave the FPI report gains more media traction, with the FT Adviser, Telegraph and Yahoo Finance – to name but three – reporting on the latest wave.
