A recent ICM survey for the High Pay Centre finds that few people think that top bosses should be paid more than £1 million per year.
The poll also shows that 70 per cent of those interviewed are in favour of “binding powers” from shareholders to be able to block pay packages to top executives, and only 1 per cent believes that senior bosses were worth the £4 million that they are earning.
ICM interviewed a random sample of 2,003 people between 20th and 22nd January 2012. Data was weighted to the profile of all adults aged 18+.
