ICM Research conducted a survey of 2019 GB adults aged 18+ on behalf of ATVOD (Authority for Television on Demand) into internet regulations. The research found that just over three quarters (77%) thought it was very/quite easy for under 18s to access hardcore porn on the internet. When asked about the regulations that are in place to ensure under 18s cannot normally see this kind of material, 88% thought these steps were very/quite important. Women found these more important to men (94% vs. 82%). Further research into internet regulations found that 70% of GB adults thought it was very/quite easy to find videos inciting hatred on the internet. Nearly 9 in 10 (89%) said that they thought the outright ban on these types of videos is very/quite important.
