Almost half of Britons think children are violent

In October ICM research were commissioned by the children’s charity Barnardo’s to run a poll looking at adults opinions of child behaviour. Of the 2,000+ adults in the UK who were asked, almost half thought children are violent and are starting to behave like animals, 49 per cent agreed children are beginning to behave like animals, 47 per cent thought youngsters were angry, violent and abusive 44 per cent said young people were becoming feral. Respondents were also asked at which age they think children are beyond help, a quarter believed this age to be 10. When asked their view on whether child who get into trouble  need help, 36 per cent agreed compared to 38 per cent who disagreed.
